Philip J. Petrina focuses his practice on supporting clients with real estate and name, image and likeness (NIL) matters. In his real estate practice, he assists clients with property acquisitions, commercial and retail lease negotiations and land use matters as well as residential and commercial development and mixed-use projects.
Phil is passionate about college athletics and assists student-athletes, colleges, businesses and NIL collectives navigate the evolving NIL landscape. He brings unique perspective as a former college athlete and provides guidance on the legal complexities of NIL and NCAA regulations to help clients effectively leverage opportunities.
Early in his career at McNees, Phil gained experience in intellectual property law and drafting and negotiating business contracts. Prior to joining McNees, Phil was a judicial intern with Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas Judge Edward Marsico. He also gained experience as a law clerk for three area firms, including McNees, working across disciplines including litigation, criminal law, real estate, municipal law, business, contracts, and wills, trusts, and estate planning.
