Steven V. Turner has served as an Anti-Trafficking Consultant, Trainer and Advocate.
Steve retired from the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of General Counsel (OGC) in 2015. Steve has been involved in the battle against Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking since 1998. He volunteered for years at the YWCA of Greater Harrisburg, providing pro bono representation for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. He has also volunteered at the YWCA Daycare Center. Beginning in 2016 he worked for the YWCA, serving as a contractor for PAATH 15 (Pennsylvania Alliance Against Trafficking in Humans – Route 15) a US Department of Justice, Office of Victims of Crime 12 County Anti-Trafficking program headquartered at the YWCA of Greater Harrisburg. Steve has provided anti-trafficking signs, symptoms and indicators trainings and presentations to law enforcement, prosecutors, attorneys, nurses, physicians, social workers, drug and alcohol counselors, teachers and other professionals. He has also spent considerable time in hospital emergency departments, healthcare practice settings, domestic violence and trafficking victim shelters, and other settings to assist victims and survivors with safety planning, and relocation options.
